What do you guys use to write on the black Case-IH filters? Anyone know where to get a good, permanent white or yellow paint stick or marker? Any favorite brands? I've looked all over and can't find anything good. I've tried those White-Out pens, but they do not stand up to diesel fuel. I'm not a fan of just scratching the date and hours on the filter or writing on that tiny white area they give you, I like somthing that stands right out.

Staples - Pentel 100W-S, 10316. White Marker. Write on metal, rubber, plastic and glass! Permanent. Has changeable nibs. I had the same question and this is the best I've come up with so far.

My local dealer gave me a partially used white paint pen, writes just like a pen but it is white paint. I think they can be found at office supply stores and maybe craft supply stores. The paint pen worked very well and stays on.

A yellow paint marker as used by auto dismantlers works good. Most will be glad to sell you one.

In the model section at Wally World, they have paint markers by Testor's that are pretty good, too, in a choice of colors.

Farm supply stores that carry Forney welding supplies have paint markers, also.

As an added use for them, I neatly mark the proper tire pressure next to the valvestems on tractors, combines, and tillage equipment, for ready reference.

Don't they have a small white area that you scratch the date on ?
