I bought this square baler at a sale today in NE MO, and I would like to know any info you fellas may have on it. It's a white demo #46 square baler, and it's in pretty good shape, other than it's a rusty covered mess! I plan to fix it up, sand blast it down and have it painted in a fresh coat of IH white. Anyone know where decals can be found? What years were the White Demo balers made? I was told that they were only made in '57, but don't know for sure...

Thanks,

Bill

Bill, I don't know anything about that baler except that I wanted to go to that sale today too but I was stuck at home with a son that was sick. The main thing that I was interested in at that sale was that baler and the deere wire tie baler. What kind of prices did things bring there?? I would have like to have seen the G allis sell too. Give us a breakdown on prices, or roughly the prices of a few things. I can't be too terrible far from you, I'm in Macon.

Take Care cdprimm

Here's a few prices from the sale,

5088 2wd Western interior, 3100 hours, $19,750

856 Custom Diesel, 4XXX hours, $8000

Early 706 Diesel, flat tops, nice tractor, $7500

Super M I think brought around $2500 but not 100% sure

The baler I bought came in at $200, not sure on the other balers there.

I live just east of Shelbina about 5 miles right on 36 at Lakenan. Our farm is where the sign that says "Latchford Farms" is at right on the highway.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the "G" Allis brought in the nieghbor hood of $6500. I was off in the machinery row looking at other stuff when it was sold. Not sure on what any of the implements brought or if they may have even sold them all with the tractor. Don't know for sure...

Yikes! It had to be cherry. You can get one of those rebuilt ones, with the deisel engine installed, for about the same price. If my memory serves me right.
