Farmall A C113 questions

Which piston on the C113 is the number 1 piston. I see 1-3-4-2 on the side of the engine to describe the firing order. Are the cylinders labeled in that same order from back to front on this engine? Or are they in a 1-2-3-4 order from one end to the other? If so, which end does the #1 start on, front or back?

Thanks,

MACE

If you notice other engine if you work on them also, the farthest forward cylinder is almost always #1. I can"t remember ever seeing a case that isn"t but I"ll cover my rear with the "almost". :>) V6 and V8 engine included. Looking down from above the engine you can see which cylinder on a V type engine is forward of others.

Don't include "V" engines, as there are exceptions there!

#1 piston always start from the front of the engine and 2 3 4 etc. after that on inline engines. The firing order is in relation to the distributor as to what piston is ready to fire such as #1 is first to fire and #4 is second to fire and so on. Hope this is clearer than mud to ya.

No1 is near the radiator. The firing order is 1-3-4-2 CW. Hal
