I have recently purchased a 1974 Farmall 140 that the bottom of three layers of paint is yellow. How would I match this yellow, does anyone sell it? Are there any pictures of a yellow 140? Was the entire tractor painted yellow, or would the grills and wheels be white?

Thank you very much.

I am in the process of painting a 52 Super A yellow. I am using a Fed Yellow from Carquest which is a Cub federal yellow. It doesn't cover very well!! And for the price I should of use the paint from the IH dealer.

That's 27849 without the last 8 isn't it? Crosses to PPG 81518.

Ken: I have a 1975 IH tractor buyers guide. It doesn't show the 140 in industrial yellow, but does the Cub. Wheels are white except the rear rims which are silver. Grill is white. Thus far I think 140 should be the same. Not 100% sure on those wheels for 140

Cub is also shown with a white hood, which takes in gas tank and hood and carries through at that level right to grill. Since the lights on Cub are at top of hood they are also white. It's been awhile since I've seen a 140 in yellow, but I think the hood was all yellow.

Why don't you go to photo gallery type in both Farmall and International 140 and then search. Just might be a yellow one there.

I don't have paint numbers but it is Federal Yellow or Industrial Yellow.
