I have a farmall 706 and it has very low pressure to lift an implement to the aux. valves. 3 point seems to work ok. Is there a pressure control that may not be working correctly or need adjusted?
Any help would be appreciated

I removed the plug under the seat on top the aux valves. It had a hole with threads and looked like a slot in one side. Is that the relive valve? there was no spring or valve in it. It had hydraulic oil in it.
Thanks

John I would diagree about the relief valve they don't as a rul get worse as the oil heats up, that sounds more like the pump has the oil warms up the oil is thinner and the clearenc in the pump lets the oil by. the relief valve is just a sping and seal if the spring is weak it just doe not hold as much preessure.

Where are the relief valves located?

The tractor vet is right that it should be flowrated just to make sure that it is the relief valve and not the hitch pump. Symptoms of a good pump is that there is good flow(9 to 12 gpm at full rpm pending on pump) and having low pressure and it gets worse as it warms up just means a bad relief valve. This valve is located along side the aux valve stack accessing it from the rear of the tractor and a 7/8 socket(if I'm remembering the right size) will take it out.

Replace the relief valve and it will work like new. Go with a 2200 or 2300 psi relief.

That is if his hdy. pump is good . It would be in his best interest to have it flowrated at the dealer it is money well spent . If he was close to me i would flow it for him and we would go from there. Heck it just might be a dirty hdy filter or dirty oil . I like to check before i spend money . I do have a flow Rater and it does know how to travel.
