Was wondering if the main shaft out of a Super H would work in an H trans.? Im having trouble finding a good main shaft for the H, but I do have a donor SH if it will work. Otherwise I'll keep looking. THanks, Andy

If you are useing main shaft with pinion gear
from SH it will work okay if you use imput shaft
and its bearing housing and related parts from the SH also.If you happen to have a H thats serial # 391358 or higher the input and main shaft will be same as SH anyway.Just slide SH gears from Main shaft and install H gears because they are different ratio than SH.

By main shaft You mean the trasnsmission shaft with the sliding gears and the diff. pinion? Or the input gear that is the top half of the constant mesh gears where the power enters the erarend? Doesn't matter, because the Super H had a larger pilot bearing between those two shafts than the H and won't work. Sorry.
