My Dad has Got a Super M and we are trying to figure out what year it is. Is there any way of using the serial number to figure it out? Also what did these tractors cost brand new?

jdpaxton: In those days US and Canadian dollars were about equal. In 1951 my dad paid $1,650. for a new H and by 1955 a new 300 was $3,100. I'm guessing but likely Super M in 52-53 was $2,500. to $3,000. Probably closer to the low side.

There is a serial number listing to the left side of this page, under "Research & Info".

They were built from 1952 into 1954.

They were not produced as "model year", so a Super M is a Super M. The year it was manufactured is incidental.
