I have a 1953 Super C 183919 with a Carter carb O-653. Been looking for a rebuild kits. All of the Carter rebuild kits are the same correct? I've found kits for the Cub & B just not the Super C yet.

I have the same tractor w/ Carter carb. I got a made in USA kit from BFIC Inc. in CA.
www.carbsonly.com

a bit pricey, as correct needle and seat are no longer available seperately.

Runs beautifully now.

I was having trouble with the carb on mine one hay season,, we had a junked out Allis Chalmer WD, I looked at the carb and it looked the same,, I put the WD carb on the Farmall C and it fit perfect, it was on there for years and when I sold the C it was still on it,,,,Jim

Well the local dealer says there is no kit, but it has to be pieced together. $13.95 for needle & seat plus $4.10 for two gaskets. Dealer didn't sound all there, he never asked for a carburetor number on any of the carbs I asked for. I do believe I'll try some other places.

I had to get mine at the dealer. The one in chambersburg, Pa is very good and ships to me. It"s called chambersburg farm service. The carter is not very common and I never found it"s parts from any aftermarket source but the dealer definitly has everything for it. As long as they are smart enough to look it up! The dealer here in Lubbock keeps telling me they don"t carry parts I ask for but when I call back with a part number they say oh yes I can get that. But the dealer in Chambersburg has whipped their prices into the ground everytime. Call information and find their number. They will take care of you. It"s been a few years since I worked there now but they are good people.

I tried Chamsburg dealer, but they were higher on everything except the 6V coil I needed, and even then they were only $2 cheaper, not worth the price of shipping. The local IH dealer had stuff the cheapest.

Carb kit for Zenith carb on B: $15.26
Carb kit for IH carb on Cub $22
Needle, seat & two gaskets for Carter carb on SUper C: $18.06
6V Coil for $23

Anything else besides the needle, seat & gaskets that I might need to rebuild the carb? Those are the only major things that I can think of right now.

I have not tried Napa yet, however Carbkits.com and thecarburetorshop.com did not have a listing for the O-653 Carter carb.
