hi, im looking at a 706, the owner says the transmission makes a loud noise sometimes. Usually after you stop and "lock" the transmission, then when you "unlock" the transmission to take off it sometimes makes the noise. im wondering if this is a sounds like a serious problem? Thanks

To: the tractor vet, Thanks for the info! If its out of adjustment, is it hard to adjust?

It could be , At one time someone could have dropped the park lock while still moving and this will chip a toothe or it could be a chipped rev. Or it could be that the park lock is not comming all the way up because it is out of adjustment . If it is only out of adjustment and no damage then i would replace the old style park lock with the new spring loaded one and it is avaibale at Case I H .
