Does anyone here have a source for woven brake linings & rivits. All I can find is bands with the linings installed. My band are in god shape, and I have a old rivit press, so I would kinda like to DIY my brakes. I've read that many of the aftermarket bands don't fit very good. ken

KFOX, I understand that several suppliers do not have an exacting fit, however Case-I-H still can get you the correct bands. Doing your own may not save you very much by the time you buy the material, rivets and your time, however I have had luck with Carquest and NAPA, getting brake materials, they also can rivet linings on for you but there is some turnaround time on the brake linnings. Last brakes I had re riveted was for my '35 Ford. Good luck with the brake job...Mike in Exeter Ontario

Thanks for your reply Mike. I didn't know you could still get new ones from the dealers. The last linings I installed were on a 28 Chevy 1 ton. I had a old rivit punch for years and always thought it was for leather until one old timer straightened me out. It came in handy on the old Chevy. ken
