Tell me about an IH 460

I have a friend who is going out later this week to look at an IH 460 and he asked me if I knew anything about them (which I don't). I've seen a picture in the photos here at YT, I assume they were a utility style tractor. Does anyone out there have any basic specs like years made, weight, power, engine, etc? What other tractor would it compare to in size and power that I might be familiar with? Are they a good acreage-type tractor? Any good or bad points that the 460 carries with it? Thanks for your help.

THe Farmall 460/560 came in utility and row-crop versions. My 1962 560 gas is a wide-front row-crop model and is a great tractor.

I have a Farmall 460 Diesel which has a 236 cu. in. engine, with tri-cycle front end and fast hitch. Mine has 15.5-38 tires, and is a nice handling tractor. It is very easy on fuel, but the Diesels have glow plugs which must be heated for up to 2 minutes in winter, and 1/2-1 min. in hot weather before starting. Mine is a '62 model. I have a block heater on mine which I plug in for 2-3 hrs. before starting in winter weather.
