Well, I've got the shutters and control rods for the B, anybody have a picture of how in the heck the control rods go on? Somewhere by the throttle?
Thanks, David

David, The control rod comes in 3 segments. The front attaches to the shuters, then into a square brass block, called the control rod carrier (bottom). From there a straight rod with a stop screws into the same carrier (top) behind the stop there is a bracket that bolts to the rear generator mounting hole on the engine block. From the rear gas tank mount there is a mounting bracket from which the rear control rod feeds in from the rear, and connects with the coupling. YOu will want a washer on either side of the rear bracket and insert cotter pins to keep the rear control rod stationary. From there it is a mater of making sure everything clears the carb (rear) and the air cleaner body (rear). It all fits but clearances are close. Let me know how it all goes, as it is sometimes difficult to know if the instructions are recieved as they are meant to be.

OK, where does the lever that controls the opening/closing go?

Dave, I"m not sure I know what you are saying. The shutter rod assembly begins with the flat side of the front rod connected to the shutter clevis on the bell crank. the front rod"s bow is outward with the ends toward the tractor. The end closest to the operator ends at the fuel tank support bracket and does not extend to the throttle area. That is the extent of the shutter assembly. If you have the distillate or kerosene exhaust manifold with the damper, there is an additional control lever and linkage that mounts under the fuel tank, but unless you have this manifold, the control lever and linkage is irrelevant.

Paul, what I've got is a piece that resembles the throttle in shape. It works like a throttle, you can adjust how much you open/close the shutters.
I'm afraid I have the wrong piece, if I remember correctly it came off a Super A, I thought it'd work the same.
If I can get a camera, I'll post some pictures.

David, YOu may indeed have an assembly from a Super A. Since any linkage would have had to be negotiated around the hydraulics of the Super, the configuration would be different, and I do not have that picture in my manuals. Sorry I can"t be more help to you..... .Oh well, we tried.
