My dad and I recently purchased an International 600 diesel. After washing the tractor white paint was revealed. Large patches of white paint cover the block, imjector pump and radiator. Other patches are visable on parts of the tractor. White is definetly the first coat of paint. It has 2 coats of red paint over it. Another thing that makes me think that it is a demonstrator is that it has many of the optional features such as hand clutch, power steering, belt pulley, tach, dual hydraulics. Correct me if i am wrong but i don't think there is any way to trace demonstrator tractors. The serial number is 1118 J and the casting date codes are May. What color would you guys paint this if it were your tractor?? I am going to restore it. All comments are appreciated.

I agree with the others- no 600 demonstrators. I have a 600D as well, and it also has white paint underneath. It is serial# 1828, if I remember correctly. Hand clutch, PS, hydraulics. Fun tractor! I use mine on the farm. The bigger the load, the better it likes it- balls to the wall, as they say.
Paint it red. By the way, to be really accurate, the rims were never painted, but were cadmium plated only. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

The white paint is a sealer/primer. My 51 MV had this underneath the paint also.
