I would take the plug out of the bottom of the carb and see if you have good fuel flow. If you don't, then pull the brass fitting going into the carb and check the screen in the fuel inlet. That's the problem 90% of the time on my 200 when it starts acting like yours.

Good Luck!

Both of the former postings could cause your problem. I would check the fuel flow at the carburetor to make sure there was no blockage
in the gas tank or line. If there's an external
main needle valve at the bottom of the carb you may want to open it (ccw) a 1/2 turn to see if it improves without the choke on. Hal

Joseph:
If the outside temperature is just about freezing your carb could be icing up. No big deal though, after a pause it will thaw out again but will repeat, especially if you are getting snow blown into the air intake.
Just a thought. We northern guys run into this every so often.

Joe, Have you checked your fuel flow? Crud in the tank, inline filter restriction ? I have a zenith on my Super A and it has a bolt in the bottom of the carb that can be removed to check your fuel flow. Im not sure if the 200 has the same carb setup, but maybe you can try those ideas.
