Bought a narrow front off of a 404 to try out under the 240, which currently has a wide front off of a Super C. The 404 front end has six-bolt hubs, while the Super C wide front has the typical letter series-style cast wheels. Does anyone know if the Super C wheels fit the 404 front end? Tried checking the parts books, but this seems to be the time frame where part numbers were changing from four or five digits followed by D or DCX, ect. to six digits followed by R1, R91, ect. Got this front end so cheap I hate to start spending money on new rims.

I should've left out the A since it had the WFE,
not sure if they used the same bearings. Hal

The A, B, C and Super C used Timken bearings nos.
15250 (outer race) and 15118 (cone) on the NFE.
Not sure if the WFE used the same bearings. I have a complete set of these if someone needs them. The other bearing is 09196 (outer race) and
09074 (cone). Hal

Re-phrase you rlast statement:

"I got the front end so cheap I can afford to spend some money on new rims".

It only takes fifteen minutes to pull the wheels off and see whether the bearing races will fit.
