Anybody ever have their brake drums turned on a C ? How small is acceptable ? One is worn about .080 - .095 more on the inside(tapered), other one OK. What would have caused this wear pattern ? Thanks !

I wouldn't think that 0.1 undersize would hurt anything, as there is more variation than that in the new bands -- I put new CIH bands on mine, even with the adjusment all the way loose, they are still too tight. As to the wear pattern, the bands just didn't fit properly, band brakes, although they work ok, aren't exactly a precision system.

Thanks CNKS. I haven't measured the drum yet. I will try turning it. Need to go to salvage yard next week anyway, maybe I'll price one. I've seen them wear in the middle, but this is the worst I've seen to wear on the inside.
