Okay then,

What"s the deal on the loop on the end of the PTO actuator lever? Our "tother "53 H had an "L" shaped rod with no loop to it. ??

We had a 41 and a 52 both with the loop. had a peice of baling wire tied in a loop for hanging extra more sections from them. Ah, memories.

The L shaped one is most likely the belt pulley rod. They both are about the same length,so if soemthing happened to the looped rod for the pto, someone just used the belt pulley rod.

Maybe the guy bending them wasn't as strong as he was the day before, I have never seen a L shaped one.

No rhyme or reason or serial number break as far as I know. Some are one way and some the other. My 51 has loop.

Hi Harold,

I think you're right; lot of this stuff just doesn't make any sense at all.

Lots of guys are talking about a center shock on the Ms. I've never laid eyes on one. Go figure.

For what it's worth, I believe my '49 H has the closed loop as pictured. Works good for me!

Allan, I have no idea. My 42 has the "L". My 52 has the loop. I do no that I like the "L" best. cause when the knuckle joints hurt, two fingers are better than one.

Allan, mine has a 15 inch hung on it now, along with a 7/16 9/16 and a 3/4 boxend. And I like your new seat, it looks outstanding.

Didnt they have a problem with earlier pto ,s breaking gears and changed the style around 52 or so , My 41 has the Lshaped lever but the PTO housing is only sticking out 3 inches and the nieghboors 52 has a PTO housing that sticks out about 7 inches and has the lever that you have pictured.
