Having had numerous bad experiences with DHL,I would not recommend that anyone use these people.I have heard every excuse in the book from them for the past 3 items people have sent me,and the long delays involved (they lost the first shipment for over a week!).They seem very lacidazical over the whole process.I consider UPS and FED EX far more professional. If DHL wants to be the big-kid-on-the-block,they need to step up to the plate and get their stuff together.

UPS won't deliver tractor parts to my house. I don't have a junk car or a woodpile to throw the packages under. U.S. Postal Service works for me.

I was always under the assumption that UPS or FED EX wont drop a package off without a signature.Seems they usually silently drop the box off and then drive away without so much as trying to get a John Henry....
What do they do? Forge a signature on their touch pad themselves?

Im right opposite.I try my best to use DHL whenever I can.Has been cheaper than UPS and Fed Ex on most items I have shipped, although sometime only by a few pennies and they pick up on my schedule. When I can tehy are there within a few minutes, longest has been an hour, whereas with UPS I could be waiting all day and in fact I could have taken my item to one of the local staores and been home before they get there.I hardly ever use(d) FedEx.

If I am buying from the States, I ask that the item not be sent by UPS. UPS charges a brokerage fee of 28.50 whereas Canadian postal service charges a fee of $5.00. It really irks me when I buy a twenty dollar item and UPS adds 28.50 onto it for clearing customs. Ups is fine within Canada but I will not use them for items coming from the USA..they're crooks with their fees...Mike in Exeter Ontario

We have bought alot of stuff out of the states, Sometimes we had the pay border taxes, but not that much, usually we ask the seller if he will mark it as a gift, Or mark it under $20, then we only pay what the cost of the item is. Unless your talkin about a different kind of fee?
