Does anyone have productions figures for the WR-9 and WDR-9 tractors? Are these rare tractors? Has anyone seen these models at tractors shows or in collections? I would like to know how many are still around. Thanks for your time and help.

Glen

I have a WDR9 that is salvage and a WR9 that is original but has been converted to propane. I think the W9 and WR9 serial numbers were in the same sequence so you can't tell how many there are of each. I do know a running WR9 in this country is pretty rare.

The only W-9 that I've seen is owned by Charlie Stewart and is fully restored. Would you sell the starter off the salvage WDR-9?

Thanks,
Glen

I would say they are rare in many parts of the country. But certainly that would not include the Great Plains of the US and Canada where they were quite common even though the "R" in their designation meant rice special. They were probably quite common in the rice growing regions of the US also.

Do you think some of the Rice Field Specials were used on the Great Plains?

I might need a started for this WDR-9, if I can get it. Do you know where I can find one?

Thanks,
Glen
