This is about a 1950 IH frig that needs a door handle. Everything else still works fine, keeps the adult beverages cool in the basement. The handle is rectangular, about 4.5" X 6". Anyone know where I can get a handle for it?

Hi Darald, we had the same problem back in the late 1960s. The handle on the one we had was longer and slimmer. It wore out at the pivot pin and could not get a replacement. Took it to local welding shop and he brazed 2 washers inside the handle for the pivot pin to go thru.
Today you could probably use a JBWeld type product to make the same repair.

Hope KevinH has the part for you.

I may have just what you're looking for. I have a '50 ih fridge to keep adult beverages cool in the garage.(don't they work just great?!) Anyhoo, I needed a handle, got one from the local ih dealer who had 1 left in old stock, but it didn't work for mine. Gimmee a few minutes to find it and I'll post a pic. Kevin
