They're off a windmill!!! well, they're sure not ON a windmill Hahahaha.
that style came out on the 06 series and went up from there. They sure don't belong on an M but some guys like them. I'd think a guy could get a set of Oliver or Minni flat-tops fairly reasonable.

Well them are off of an Oliver. Not sure what size it was, but they are very comparable to a set that I compared them to on an 1800 Oliver. I think they look great and they ran me less than $150 total including sandblasting and painting. Bought the set at a local Oliver dealers going out of business auction. All lights now work but I replaced the originals in the fenders with some aftermarket ones I bought at TSC.

Nice job! Did they bolt onto the holes in the axle housing or did you use some big ubolts? I have loader just like yours - I mounted it on a 300U - added a cylinder for dump, and put a new bucket on. These old tractors are great. Irv

Thanks Irv. The fenders already had been modified to fit something other than an oliver, something other than an m to. They had a piece of angle iron bolted to the bottom of them. I cut out a piece of 1/2"flat iron to fit the angle of the fenders and welded it to the angle iron, the flat metal ran up the fenders about 16", to take some of the play out of them. Then used 3/8" log chain to wrap around the axle and bolt to the angle iron. I fabricated a small brace on the back side that runs down to the draw bar to further stablize the fenders. I just put a 3 pt. on last weekend and havent got the hydraulics all worked out yet but am getting there. I dont know if this makes much sense or not. Maybe when the rain lets up I'll try to get some better close ups of the fenders.

Here's another interesting set of fenders on an old letter series. Originally, I thought they were off a 560, but when I got the tractor home, I noticed the grab handles and factory-drilled holes.

Anybody want to guess as to what they came off of? I'm pretty sure I know, but let's see if I'm right.

I hope JP Tractor Salvage doesn't mind me borrowing their picture... I did buy the tractor after all.

i'd guess they came off a 706. we took a pair off a 706 like that and put them on a 460.
