I"m having trouble keeping a Farmall 656 to keep running. It starts then dies. I took the carburator and had it rebuilt and changed the spark plugs. The carburator has a electric idler or something like that on it. When I took it off it had juice and the rebuilder said it worked. Thanks for any help or things to try Jeff

I might be a little late on this one but sometimes there can be some junk floating in the tank and when it starts up it gets sucked into the stand pipe in the tank shutting off the gas flow.

Run a jumper wire to the gas shut off solenoid. That's how I found my wire had a short in it, 656 gas also.

Jeffk That selienod is for shutting the gas off when the switch is turned off to stop the gas so the engie will not diesel. It is the load needle

Clean out the sediment bowl and fuel tank. and if that is not the problem replace the coil.
