Hello, I have a very nice Case IH 2250 loader on my 2wd IH 484. The tractor isn't up to the task so I'm looking to replace it. I was wondering if there was any 4wds it would fit on.
Thanks!

784 must be stronger, my 2wd 484 is having all kinds of problems with the front end and it's always either stuck or broke on our place.
Thanks

My neighbor took one from an IH 684 and put it on a Case-IH 4210 that has front assist. It's been on that tractor for 10 years now.

The loader itself will fit about 75% of the IH tractors out there. The thing you really need to watch out for are the mounts. There's probably at least ten different variations of mounts. Don't buy a tractor unless you're 100% sure you can find the correct ones. I got fairly lucky, bought a 2250 without knowing what it came off of, I didn't know better. Those mounts sure looked like they would bolt up to a 706, but ended up doing some pretty major modifications, making several 1" holes in the 3/4" thick mounts. I think you should just trade the whole thing. Most common IH utility tractors with MFWD are the bigger 84 series, and tons of those arleady have 2250 loaders. Also look into the Case-IH 85 and 95 series, same thing as an 84, but I would guess that MFWD is more common on them.

Will an 84 series cab tractor be alright, or nither the 84 or 85 series with cabs will fit?. I'm going to print off that list and start looking for a replacment.
Thanks alot!

Hi Jonboy, the 2250 fit on a 674,684,784.884 4x4,585,685 4x4 without cab, on 12.4x24 tire. On 885 model, the front tires are to large, no more room for the cylinders. Bernard le mécano Québec Canada

Hi Jonboy, if you don't have the XL cab, on 85,95 serie, it will fit. Otherwise you have to drill new holes in the frame plates. The front tires should be 12.4x24 or less. On 13.9, the tire touch the cylinders. Bernard le mécano
