Anyone else having trouble with the neoprene top needle valves. I have rebuilt many carbs on farmalls over the last 30 years and since I cannot find the solid needle valves I,m getting a few dripping carbs. I rebuilt one for a friend last weekend. it doesn't leak bad but just stays wet on the bottom and will drip maybe two drips an hour. Anyone know a supplier for the old style needle valves for farmalls

I have had trouble with the needles and seats in the aftermarket kits leaking, but the ones for the IH dealer have been good.

I'm not sure of all models but the Cub and H kits from the dealer come with steel needles. Although the needle from the dealer leaked on my Cub and I went with a vicon tipped needle from Krohler and it solved the problem. You might find that the needle is not the problem. First, be sure the float adjustment is correct. I also found that the needle cage and/or main jet threads are a source of slow leaks like you describe. Permatex Hi-Temp thread sealer takes care of that.
