What type of oil should I use in my M Liftall? I used hydraulic oil in it before and it worked fine though I have read that 30wt non detergent is recomended. What is best? Thanks.

If you use any of your hydralic attachments on any other tractors you will contaiminate their systems with 30wt.

You can use either one. It was designed for engine oil, that's what we always used (30 weight non detergent to prevent foaming), hytran had not been invented yet.

Thanks for the info. I think I'll use 30wt not detergent. Though hyd trans problably would not hurt anything.

It won't hurt anything, I just think 30W is just as good, Hytran is thinner, thus you have more of a chance of it leaking through the seals.

I see how that could be a problem. I think I can get 30wt not deterg here in town that is what I'll get. I think it only holds 6 quarts.
