Hi Fellas,

Got a question.... my 230 hydraulic cylinder on the hitch seems kind of weak. It barely want to pick up the blade. I got plenty of fluid. It seemed a lot more powerfull before.

Dont know if the pump is going south, or the bypass on the valve is in need of tightening some, if it even can be. I dont have a guage to check pressure.

Any suggestions?

Thanks and have a great week!

Hi everyone,

I just went out and tried it(the temp is 60 degrees outside) and it has plenty of up pressure now so it must of been ice. The down pressure seems a little weak, though, but it could be my imagination.

IT there a bypass adjustment?

Thanks

Randy

Get yourself a good liquid filled gauge that goes to atleast 4000 psi and some fitting and plumb into the system and check it hot and see what ya got the gauges are around thiry bucks .

if it is cold where you are it may have moisture in it and freezing up. check all filters and strainers.

Funny I never thought of that. Yes, we were coming off of a cold spell last time I used it.

It has been warm for the last few days and I will try it out again tomorrow.

Thanks

make sure the packings are good. may have a leak internally. leave the hitch up with a 1/4 load and see if it goes down.
