Do you have to split a OS6 to get the clutch out? I took the cover off behind the engine to get at the clutch and can't get the bolts out of the yoke. The OS6 is similar to a W6 ecept that it has an over center hand clutch rather than a foot clutch.

Its been awhile since I pulled one of those, but once you have the coupling out, take out the bolts that hold the pressure plate to the flywheel. There may be room to wiggle it out, shaft pressure plate and disc all at one time. You may have to take the engine loose and jack it up a little.Insatll in reverse order.

If the OS-6 is like a SM you can't remove the pressure plate, only the clutch plate.

But you do have to get the u-joint apart. A well fitting wrench and a little hammer can help. The nuts come off first. The bolt is captured by a taper. Grind the box end wrench flat on the bottom to get a good fit on the head of the tapered bolt. The head is so thin you need all the wrench you can get on the flats.

I got the bolts and yoke out and now I am having difficulty getting the shaft out of the flywheel.

Will it slide back any at all,if so,then take the bolts out of the pressure palte where it bolts to the flywheel. You should be able to manuver it around enough to get it out,if not, take the eniogne bolts out of the back and loosen the front ones and jack it up a little on the back.
