What is the part number for a 450 Farmall gas block (C-281)? I was told that it is 356980R2, but I believe that is a SM-400 block part number.
Thanks for your help.

Most blocks in farmall tractors you named goes like this. SM,SMTA,and around 1/4 of 400 had a casting # of 356980-R1.Later 400 and 450 356980-R2.Have saw replacement blocks with different # hand stamped in.

The only thing that leads me to believe that my block is a 400, is that it has C-264 stamped one it insetad of C-281. I wanted the C-281 because I thought they were a little heavier built than SM-400 blocks. I am using this block for a puller.
Thank You

I have been looking at my parts CD and can not make out anything for sure. The Super M/MTA have a crankcase assembly 356981R93 with a crankcase of 365586R1. The 400/450 show a crankcase assembly of 356982R93 with a 356981R93 crankcase (C-264, gasoline, not high altitude for ser# 136834 to 163807). The problem is: 356981R93 crankcase assembly has a 365586R1 crankcase. I know this is hard to follow but it isn't making sense to me. Not sure if this helped or if it confused you more. Randy
