I am going to look at a 1959 International tractor. Now,,,are these tractors pretty good to run? This is a diesele, and it is being fixed up with whatever it needs. It runs excellent(he says),and just got through hauling 20 loads of manure.I was wondering ,,,,is this tractor a 1959?...Or a 196?
It has power steering...Thanks..G.W

I forgot to mention....this is a 484 International diesle.Injectors cleaned, new glow plugs, gaskets, minor repairs done that was needed..I was just wondering if these were good tractors,,and what year would this tractor be?..It has power steering ,and a loader, with 6' bucket, also new tires on front. He wants $6000(Can.).for it.Is this too much to pay?..Thanks...GW

I agree with Sammy, that tractor is much newer than you originally thought. I have a 584 that I have had since new and it has been an excellent tractor, that whole series 484,584,684 were all good tractors...Mike in Exeter Ontario
