Hey Boys,

I will be picking up the 1066 I bought and I know the batteries are in need of replacing. I know they are 145 amp 6 volts, that is what the manual says but my question is does someone know the dimensions or make and model of ones that will fit and work. My plan is to get two before I go down and I will be ready to start it and get in on the trailer. Thanks

Hi John,

I'm pretty sure that the 66 series is the only tractors that take that long, narrow battery. Any tractor outlet should have 'em.

Please be careful when you load; that's a heck of a lot of tractor. :>)

Allen,

It is the long skinny ones. I did a little web surf and found Inetrstate like another post said and they do have them. About $100 each, wow. Well, thats what you get. That tractor goes about 10,000 lbs, so it is heavy. Tires not loaded. I think it will be sometime in Feb when we go get it. Thanks Allen, see ya

Hi John, Here are a few battery manufacturer's
that still make 6 volt batteries.

Deka Batteries Email address is eastpenn@eastpenn_Deka.com
610-682-4781

Interstate Battery Co.
dan.lane@ibsa.com

Exide Battery Co.
1-800-346-2172
tbgna@exide.com

Here in MD our Southern States Farm and Feed store sell 6 volt batteries. Exide said they sell batteries all over the US. One of the old battery company's that was popular years ago was the Willard Battery Co. Hal

Any battery dealer that sells the right batteries will have a cross reference that tells you which battery is the right one.
