Just south of US-12, by Moscow. Only one so far, it's an M. However, just up the road is an H, no tank, no carb, no hood, no muffler. Maybe it'll be cheap...

So all you guys located in and around the Saginaw Valley area I know the areas you are talking about, great farming country. My mom is still living on the Centennial farm my great grandfather started in Hampton Township.

Hey Reddog -- no, after working in Muskegon for a few years I left Mich in the 1970s and wandered around the world working on Department of Defense projects, then returned to my home state of New Hampshire a few years back where my IH 240U moves snow, logs, and field stones. But my wife is from GH. We have one daughter going to Hope right now and the other graduated from Hope a couple years ago and works in Ann Arbor. Michigan and particularly Ottawa County will always be my second home!

Dave, Glad to hear your second home will always be Ottawa County. I have a nephew who graduated from Hope about two years ago. I lived in Ottawa County in a little place called Olive Center (located about halfway between Zeeland and Grand Haven) for 7 years. I still work in Zeeland. Reddog

Reddog, I think I remember Olive Center, a wide spot in the road! Hamilton is just over the line in Allegan County, right? If you work in Zeeland maybe you work for Herman Miller or Howard Miller? One of my buddies works down the road at Haworth. That whole area around Holland and M-31 has just exploded since I lived there! We go back to visit GH and can't believe the growth.

BTW, you can see a pic of my 240 in the snow if you go back in the forum about a week and look for something like "240 U working in today's storm in NH" or something like that. What model Farmall are you keeping going?

Dave you are correct on all counts, Olive Center is just a few houses in a row and Hamilton is just a few miles into Allegan County. I don't work at Herman or Howard Miller I work at a place called ODL Inc. a few miles from them. I have two brother-in-laws who work at Haworth in the Allegan chair plant and a third brother-in-law who used to work in the Holland Haworth Plant. I also know a gentleman from church that works in the Holland Haworth plant. As for my tractor I have a 1949 Super "A" that my father had purchased new and farmed with, his only tractor. I inherited it a few years ago when he passed and I moved it over to Hamilton. I have since restored it and a few of the impliments. The tractor has earned it's rest so I have it in one parade and one show a year. I unhid my e-mail, if you send me yours I will e-mail you a picture of my tractor. Reddog

West of Hawkins - about ½ way between Big Rapids and Reed City then west a few miles. Raised near Croswell in the Thumb, worked around the world, retired here two years ago so I could play with tractors. Ran into good folks at the Big Rapids Antique Farm and Power Club. Stable includes:
49 Cub
43 B
47 BN
SC WFE
300U/350U mixed (I call it a 3¼)
460 WFE
