Thought you guys might like this. It was taken January 2001 when we had winter here. Right now there is a lot less white than brown.

If it doesn't show up here it is in the community album under 966 blowing snow.

captain: That is the machine you spoke of in earlier thread. Have to agree, you are well equiped should older flesh have to return to snow removal chores. It's a wonder your 16 year old son isn't pushing to use that one also. My young one's always pushed for the largest machine on farm. Just wanted to prove they could handle it and do the job.

I don't remember the exact year and I wish I had pictures. Mid 70's. Major blizzard in Southern Minnesota. Wide spread power outages. Had a 71 Ford pickup (2 wheel drive with a deck I built over the wheels wells to care 2 snowmobiles.) Loaded the snowmobiles for weight and in case I got stuck. Put the chains on the rear. Couldn't get to my dad's, 4 miles away, made it to my uncle's 10 miles away. Fired up the 766 with 7 1/2 foot snowblower on back. Spent 26 hours straight blowing snow on our farms and a number of neighbors. Talk about seat time!!!!!

Yup, originally I had that blower on a 560 Diesel with just a comfort cover on it. A snowmobile suit was a necessity on that one! Wife thought it was the abominable snow man coming in the house when I got done!

Ah, the good ole days ?!? :>)
