Ive got 2 F-20s, both been setting in a junk pile for 20 yrs here. Found out ones still loose. Its the oldest, but how old is it. Its serial # is 1419. The other is 99990. Both have only have hand brakes. Cn foot brakes be put on them? Im assuming that its not cracked inside as I pulled the bottom plug and nothing came out. I stuck a stick up to see if perhaps it was frozen. It went up say 2or 3in and hit somthing, could that be the sump for the pump? Front wheels on the good on are good, got the spokes for one, but not the rims. Both manifolds shot. I kept the mag in the house and had it fixed when I did it, so it should still be fixable with a tuneup. the good one dosent have cable brakes for someo=reason, but the bad one does. Have to change out the drawbar and take the seat bracket from the bad one, so, all in all, for 2 tractors that have been just setting around near a quarter century, I think im pretty lucky to have most all to put ne back together again.

There were several companys that made an add on foot brake for these. The one I am familiar with was installed by removing the spring at the brake, then it just slipped on and you replaced the spring. The pedals came up behind the rear axle and were adjusted and locked with a set screw.I think these would be considered correct as nothing was removed, these were just added on.I know this is as clear as mud, maybe the Cowman could explain this better.John

Tractor #1419 is a 1932 and tractor #99990 is a 1937. They both would appear to be wide treads since you did not mention the letter 'N' after the numbers. Foot brakes can be put on them but would not be correct for the early one. Must not be any oil in the crank if you pulled the plug and nothing came out. You probably did hit the oil pump screen when you poked the stick in. Original kerosene manifolds can get expensive, but aftermarket gas types are much less money. Are you interested in selling the early one? I would be interested in talking to you about it if you are. Hope my info helps!
