Also, a F-20 will have the pulley shifter lever on the left hand side, and small. The F-30 will have it on the right hand side and large. If you would think its easy to put gas in it, its probably a 12, or 14. If you think it wouldnt be all that hard to put gas in it, then its probably a 20. If you think youd have to get up on the drawbar, and then up on the rear axle and stand on it and the frame rail to put gas in, its probably a 30. Ive had 20s and 30s

Quick identifying features:
-Farmall Regular will have open-gear steering
-F-20 will have one bolt thru transmission case to frame on each side, F-30 will have two
-F-12 will have slide-out rear wheels
-F-14 will differ from F-12 by having the steering
shaft angled upward to driver

No, The serial number on an F-20 will be on the tool box, Stamped in the fraim rail and on the block. It is stamped and not raised casting numbers. A regular will be simmilarly located and an F_12 F-14 will be under the fuel tank plaqued on it's forward tank support. Good luck!
