You folks are sure knowledgeable about these old Farmalls. Did Farmall ever use what is called a Power Unit (113 CU. in.)in any of their tractors?

Yes they did, International A, Farmall A, AV, B & BNs" sported the 113 cid. In the power unit it was designated the U-2

Did thet actually put these engines in these tractors? There are quiet a few differences in the power unit and the standard 113 cid. Head, oil dipstick, ect:.

They're the same engine, with different stuff bolted on. A tractor C113 has a Farmall A, B, or C bolted to it. A power unit C113 has a simple transmission and a skid bolted to it. The dipstick is a simple machining operation on the stock block. Any differences in the head are imagined.

The powser unit also has a cutout for reverse mounted starter which is not present in tractor version. The power unit block will however work on an A or C, but not sure about B or BN as the tractor castings have a cut out for steering shaft for B and BN, whereas the Power unit may not.
