Under the dash, the metal line from the bottom of the Regulator Safety Block to the front side of the inboard ( of two) Hydra-touch Control Valve assemble on my F300 leaks. ((Still)) called Carter & Grunwald and they couldn't find the part in their books. Does anybody have a clue what the part number might be? The line is single, steel with flare nut fittings on both ends it is probably 1/2" dia x 3 1/2" tall and 3" wide. Anybody have any useful info? Do I go to a hydraulic shop to have one fabricated? Thanks for any and all information. Dick Davis

There is also suppose to be an O-ring between the block and your fitting nut. Replace both those O rings and I will bet your leak stops. This 180 degree tube is what gives your power steering priority. I could not find the part number for the 0-ring but any hydraulic shop will have it.

Hi Dick, You can probably get a brake line that's the same size and they're already double
flared from NAPA. If your flare nut is just seeping you can apply a light coat of Gasoila to the threads to stop the seepage. I use it on pipe fittings for natural gas and on hydraulic brake lines so they can be easily removed. The web sit for Gasoila is www.federalprocess.com.
It is available from most plumbing suppliers. Hal

I have noticed two different types of coupling on ends of tube on tractors. Also 400 450 used same pipe if that will help.

Thanks all. I've gotten three responses from a classified ad for the line. Should be on the go soon. El Toro, I made note of the recommendation for Gasoila. Was pleased to learn this line provides power to my power steering, wonder wear that is? I've never seen it. Thanks again for all the support. Dick Davis
