I am posting this to see if any of your experiences have been similar. My problems have not been as severe as those of some of the other people, as noted in the post at the bottom of the thread. Curious as to the recent experiences of the people who have bought from this manufacturer, as there are many more letter series, 00, 30, and 50 series people on this forum than on RPM's forum. I would hate to stop doing business with them, since they have things that can't be found anywhere else. Been over a year since I ordered anything. This is a recent post, more will probably be added to it.

Yeah I've dealt with them. I got a battery box mounting bracket with the holes drilled wrong...got on the phone and got the same Bull^%#t line that they (IH) made eveything inconsistently...How stupid do they think we are. They made it right by by me, also got a bad gauge, and they dealt with that problem too. Their customer service department must run 24-7. I would consider ordering from them again...maybe. I've been using Carter & Gruenwald, and they have treated me like a king...Thanks Bermuda Ken, Chad, Lee, and the Crew.

Gordon Rice's son sells newer IH parts as "Joe's Farmall Parts." I haven't bought much from him but if he is as good as his dad, he might be a good alternate source.

They are very expensive also...and there shipping is outrageous. What is it with people today that seem to think they must add 5 to 10 bucks to actual shipping to cover their costs. I can see if you must buy a box and packing material, but I have seen them drop something in a usps supplied envelope and have the postman pick it up and they charge 4 or 5 bucks to do that....why? Their profit is supposed to be in the item...and with what a lot of these people charge, there is plenty of profit.

Until you've done some shipping, you have no idea how much it costs. Packing material is EXPENSIVE. UPS/USPS/Fedex are EXPENSIVE. Even something you drop in an envelope costs $4-$5 to ship these days.

Many companies take a hit on the shipping; it comes out of the profit from the sale of the item. Some companies simply can't afford to operate like that.

Oh yeah, and the reason OEM's parts are so expensive... He explains it in clear language. First, these parts are hand manufactured in small quantities. Second, the price of raw new steel has gone through the roof in the last year. If you want the guy to stay in business so you have access to these hard-to-find parts in the future, he's got to make a profit, you know.

Lot of companies have shipping charges as high as theirs -- yes they do consider it part of their income.

Hello, I'm sort of a "newbie" to the IH tractors. Although I've got two, I'm still/always looking for parts to rehab them to the original condition. Saying all that...someone please inform me as to who/where this "OEM" is located. I will definately beware. Thanks.

cnks, Thanks for the input. I agree with you about the quality control. Seems that quite often I have to redo items purchased to make them usable. Not only in the ag. world, but also in the automotive industry. Frustrating at times.

About the only place I havent ordered from, thanks to their "call them to order it" mentality.Dealing with people over the phone is always a pain...and time consuming...when one could be working on their 300 ute...lol
