Repaced the steering piston last year and worked great.
The problem is know that you have to keep turning the steering wheel to keep it straight, not a little alot.
What could that be???

The problem is in the steering motor , they all have some creep to them i do not have my books handy but i am thinking that one complet turn per min is ok by the book . Not by my standards . The 806 that i have now does it but not to bad yet i can live with it for now . That is one thing i have never had to rebuild yet so i am not going to try and tell you how to do it . Get and I T manual it breaks it down .

Dex,

The direction that it always "wants to go". Does it steer okay in this direction when you push it in that direction (hope that makes sense)?

If so, I think your problem lies in that the spool is not centered in the control valve. There is a little spring in there that is supposed to keep this spool centered and as you would guess, it is called the "Centering spring".

Perhaps something has gone south with this spool or spring? Dunno.

Allan
