CNKS is pretty much correct as far as my current knowledge gleaned from Cub experts.

However, the later production Cubs were around 15-16 hp. Now don't forget that is drawbar not developed.

The Cub Numbered Series - 154 had 15hp, 184 and 185 were 18hp models. They were not row-crop but were probably the for-runners of the modern Garden type tractor - but much superior in abilities.

The last of the Cubs and Cub-Lowboys were manufactured in 1979. Forget at the moment what year the numbered series were done - I think it was also 1979.

The Cub Cadets and Cadet line were sold off and are still being produced, although they are not the same machine as when IH built them.

I figured you would reply -- glad to have you back among the living! I type slowly, and got tired of typing everything, such as hp -- got my info from Ken Updikes data book.

Glad to be back. You have no idea how much I missed the forums in the last 3 months.

Had a lot of catching up to do. Still have not read all the posts - gonna have to leave it at that though. I figure 4 days is enough reading for now.

Still only spending little bits of time at the computer - usually about 20-30 mins at a time. It gets kind of painful if I try to stay any longer.

Again, glad to be back! :-))

Likely the 140, about 23hp built into sometime in 1979, according to my source. The Cub 185 lo boy with about 18 hp was produced in 1976, the Cub 184 loboy was built in 1979, the 154 cub loboy was built in 1974, the International Cub was built in 1979, 10 hp. I probably missed some as I have had any contact with Cubs. But, it does not look to me like any US small ones were built as late as 1980. I will argue with no one who disproves this, as I'm certainly not familiar with all models that were ever built.
