What is the difference between a 444 and a 2444?
I have serial number 13213 and I thought it was a 444. All of the service manuals and parts books have covered everything I needed. One of the other sites says that the last 444 serial number produced was 13164. I have not found anything for serial numbers on a 2444.
Thanks

The 2444 in standard form was basicly the same as the 444 in standard form except; yellow was standard color, different grill, I-1 front tires and R-4 rear tires on 2444, no 3 point (optional on 2444) and no pto(optional on 2444). There were a number of options for the 2444 that were not offered for 444, HD front axle, foot accelerator, shuttle transmission to name a few. I don't have last serial number but my list says 444 and 2444 use same numbers and 1971 started with 12357.

The 2444 was the "industrial" version of the 444. I am not familiar with the 444, but not the 2444. I would guess that the 2444 may have a foot accelerator, and different wheels, etc -- someone else more familiar can explain it to you. However, the serial confuses me, as the ending serial you have for the 444 is correct, I believe. Usually there are fewer industrial models produce than ag models, are you sure it is one of the 444 series?
