Yes I have used it before. In a pinch its alot easier for a quick repair than firing the tig machine up. Next to tig welding it is about the best you can get for alum repair. There are a few manufacturers of this compound. I have a stick or 2 you could practice with if you want.

Pretty neat stuff,

Tensile 39,000psi
elongation 10% in 2 inches
shear 31,000 psi
Electrical conductivity 26% of copper standard

It does have a shelf life of about 6 mos. to a year depending on how you store it.

Did you look at the price? $65 a pound. That had better be some amazing stuff for that!! Scrap aluminum is what about $0.50 a pound now? What gives with this stuff?
