anyone know what a a 1468 is worth these days i just read an artical that 1066s have increased 34 percent in value in the last year and i had a guy offer me 11000 for a 1086 i gave 8 for 10 years ago. Ive got a 1468 fender tractor that usually sits in the shed ( last year it pulled two other tractors out of the mud, pulled a fertilizer tender for a day and ran an auger during harvest) im not really interested in selling it but i was just wondering if it was increaseing in value like the binder engine tractors. or if the fact that it is a collector and not a worker has caused them to remain steady.

Look at some equipment web sites for your area. www.fastline.com will give you some idea. I just bought a 1066 and everyone said they are good. The 86 series follows suit. I would think these tractor are going up in value with steel being up and all. I am glad the 1066 went up 34%, I just bought it. If only my money would do the same.

Well, I maybe let a steal go by, they are listed here in the Des Moines Register, but I don't know if I have seen one listed for too much over 10,000. They are rare, but not that rare. To a collector though, sometimes price is no object. Anyway an ad ran with the first 1468 made in a certain year. Can't remeber year or price, it was the very first one I know, but I don't think it was anywhere around 20,000

$35,000!!!!! !!!!! !!! Could you post a picture or e-mail one (or two!) to me? I uncovered my e-mail address. I would love to see your machine. I had the liberty to operate a 1468 that is our IH mechanic's, he uses it as a loaner tractor to people when they bring in something to be repaired. Sure was a night and day difference between the 856!!! And SO easy on fuel, we couldn't believe it. Fun, very fun tractor. We chopped hay with it, letting smoke from both stacks billow to the sky. Beautiful sight. I sure don't have the money now, but I'm going to have one or a couple of those big V-8's in my collection some day. Just amazing. Thanks for posting the bid you were given.
