I was visiting an old friend on Prince Of Wales Island this past summer and he almost gave me a 240 U. So now I am planning on getting it to Central Texas. Have to put it on a ferry to Ketchikan then from Ketchikan to Bellingham Wa.then haul it to Texas.Maybe crazy but going to do it. Didn't mean to bore you but thought it would give me an excuse to go back to Alaska.
Belated Happy New Year to all. Bill

I brought two '41 M's from Montana to my home here in east Texas. It took 6 years from the time I struck the deal until I got them home.I had to wait for the owner to pass away and then find time to go get them.I am the second owner on one and the third on the other.Hope to restore them this summer.

Hi Bill, I had a chance to buy a 240 utility about two years ago and am kicking myself for not doing it eversince. The guy only wanted $1500 and it ran but needed alot of work. Everytime I go to the tractor photo section and see this picture I get sick!!!

Bill, I did it in reverse! Purchased my first tractor, a Farmall H, in Missouri, pulled it to Dallas, TX, and then to Soldotna, Alaska, where I live! That is a little over 5,000 miles with a half ton Chevy and a 16' trailer. Where there's a will there's a way! Where in Central Texas are you . . . . I am in Dallas for a while?

I live in Llano County about 200 south of Dallas. Spent 30 years in Alaska and retired from Anchorage Telephone. Made that trip many times and may spend the summer up there this year. I spend most of my time working on Farmalls. LOL Bill

That is a question I could have anwsered three years ago before I got the spell cast upon me. Since then I bought a 2500 HD Silverado, a 25 ft gooseneck, built a new barn and hit the road. So far the longest trip has been 1400 miles one way, 36 tractors and three additions to the barn. I have enjoyed every trip, seen most of the US, and met lots of friendly folks and have not yet let distance be a deterant. Pretty dumb huh?

Nothing like hooking up and driving all over the country hauling old tractors. My wife says I'm out of control. HA!
