Regular serial#...frame or block?

OK, when I got my regular it was missing the tag and the frame rail that has the # on it. By a stroke of luck, I located half of the rail(other half is now a wagon tongue). So, I have 2 serial#'s.15290(block) and 15346(rail). Since they are only 50#'s apart can I assume the block wasn't changed? Also, which, if either, would have been on the tag back in 1927? Thanks in advance for any and all replies. Kevin

The tag would have had the frame rail number. Block probably wasn't changed, impossible to tell.

Thanks for the info. I want to get a new tag made and wanted to try to keep as close to original as possible. On a side note, I have found your 'Data Book' most useful over the past few years. I keep a copy at home and 1 in the truck for those side of the road stops that the wife loves so much!
