I was low on fluid and just trying to get one more load.... when I dumped, my hydraulic bucket swung like a trip bucket. After that all 3 ports no longer worked. I changed the pump - no luck. Is there some sort of relief valve or ?? I have since changed the fluid as well.
thanks.

I popped the top off of what I think is the relief valve. The spring inside is stiff and looks to be in good shape. There is another cylinder that I removed - slid out easily... everything looks clean. I ran the tractor thinking that fluid would be pumped out making a mess (nothing). Was this a reasonable test? IS my junkyard pump junk? Any help appreciated. Thanks.

(Can't loosen the line off the pump as intake and outflow are mounted as one.)

FK,I blew a hose on the loader on a 450 and the loader wouldn`t work afterward so I loosed the hose at the pump while it was running(heck of a mess)and it has worked fine ever since. It was air locked. God bless,Kjm

Thanks.... I saw what looked like a breather with a filter. Can you give me some ideas on what to look for (troublewise)or if there are any fixes/tricks/tests etc on the relief valve? or other parts that may be the trouble.
