We have the real deal here in northwest Washington this morning. Started at 10 a.m. yesterday and now is blowing 40 mph and blinding snow. Time to get the Farmalls cranked up and go do some serious digging out. The sheriff,s dept is telling people to stay home and wait this thing out. Think I better get the 806 and 504 ready for the challenge. Migraine

There has been a lot of snow this season in Michigan. I have a small Ford loader tractor that I use for snow removal, so the Farmall stays in the garage. Although last year when that 1989 Ford stalled in the middle of the road it was the 1954 Farmall that fired right up after sitting for four months and pulled her back to the house.
I've been wanting a mid-mount blade for the Farmall that would work with the lift-all hydraulics. Don't think I ever saw one that was built for the bigger Farmalls like the M. Maybe I will have to fab something out of an old 3 pt blade. Anyone ever see a mid-mount blade on an M?

As I like to tell my students at the college, there is no such thing as a stupid question.
Lift-all on the Farmalls is gravity down and power up to the best of my knowing. Some three points, by the way, can pressure down. It was an option on my Ford when I bought it new in 1989. Only real use I would have had for it was the post hole digger and I passed on the option.

We haven't had a really good storm up here for almost 20 years. There were days when I used the W4 and a V blower to clear 1 mile of road to the main highway. There were drifts that were up to my shoudlers as I sat working through them.
Now everyone freaks when there is 3 inches.
Then people say there is no climate change!

I have only used are cub two or three times this year. The Last was with the heavy wet snow and had no problems. I still have yet to put a chain lift on it this winter so I do not have to worry about having come to complete stop when I hit some uneven ground.
