All I.H. weights are a hot item out here. Who were the other makers of lookalike I.H. weights? I just got a full rack on the 966 we got home but no I.H. stamps or numbers on them at all. I would guess the value is less for these? But the weight and dimensions are the same except the slot where they fit over the bracket seems a bit narrow.

I bought 22 halfs at an auction last year for $150. I thought it was not a bad price , but didn't realize how good it was.

Hi Jack,

You wouldn't happen to have 12 69lb suitcase weights laying around needing a home, would ya?

Hi John, Where ya been?

Yeah, I could probably find those weights here if I'd get off my duff and kick the bushes a little.

The 966 is coming along nicely. I was going to take some pictures today, but the darned thing actually looks pretty pitiful. (Didn't want to invade her beauty sleep, so changed my mind about the pictures). :>)

Tractor is back together and runs great (it should, brand new motor, clutch, oil pump, starter & delcotron).

Fixin' some little things like a hydraulic leak under the seat, bad clutch actuator piston, new muffler and that darned front end pivot pin kit.

All the while, the old paint is coming off down to bare metal. Just an ugly lookin' 966, I'll tell ya. :>)

I think I've found all the parts, but bad news is that I just crossed the $7K mark on Friday and have a long way to go before we see the light of day. I'm still shootin' for that $10K entry fee, but only time will tell, I guess. :>)

Houndog, You outta be out there snatching up them there weights instead of wasting time here talkin about it. You aint gonna find them any cheaper unless you swipe em off some unsuspecting farmers tractor. Go get em.

Hi Paul,

I was an unsuspecting farmer one time.

In my case, it was the banker who I didn't notice sneaking up on me. And, believe me, that joker took a heck of a lot more than my darned wheel weights! :>)

Allan, That same "JOKER" was one busy feller. I think he ended up with a lot of wheel weights (tractors attached) during his travels throughout the midwest. It is indeed good to see that you have regrouped and are in the process of thumbing your nose at the "collector". Congrats, and best wishes.

Id say $50 a piece is a god deal.
But if you mean $50 for all of them you are basicly stealing 3 of them.
