Precleaners were available from the dealers that would fit. It would fit early Cubs with the tall air intake, probably not the later short air pipe.

It was manufactured by the Donaldson company, the same people who made the rest of the air cleaner system that was/is used on just about all IH and Farmalls. The little bonnet top pre-cleaner was standard, the glass jar unit was optional. Even though IH did not make it, it would still be original to your cub.

If you are referring to the glass jar types, IH did not make them for cubs, but some aftermalrket companies did.

Thanks John(*.?-!.* cub owner),You made me earn that question by learning to type your handle. I asked because my father will turn 70 this year and he just redone a 48 cub. What else can I buy somebody that pretty much has anything he wants within reason!
