The oil's escaping again!

It seems that no matter what I do with oil the only place it ends up is where it shouldn't be. I was using my '53 Super A to plow snow the other day and it ejected some oil from the crank case breather, not a lot but enough to dribble all over the cover. It did the same thing to me the next day when tidying up. I'm running 15W-40 oil which is full to almost the level of the top try-cock and I checked the touch control fluid level and it is still more or less where it should be. So I'm at rather a loss to what might be causing my problems. I was running the engine harder or faster than I've probably ever run it before (for an extended period) but I can't imagine this causing my trouble. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, SAm in NS

Maybe there is some breather freezing going on. Try to verify if the inlet on the top of the rocker cover is getting moisture freezing and preventing proper breathing.
