Does any one have or know where I could find them? I have a couple of questions on installing a used outfit I bought this summer. And how hard should it be to get the pin out of the front of the chankshaft.I already took out the set screw .Will a little heat hurt it ? I really hate to bang on the crankshaft.I guess I need a much longer pin then dont I? Any help would be great . Thanks Jim My M is a 1952 with belly pump My kit has a power steering pump to install by governer and pully to put in front of exgisting front pully. Thanks again..Jim

I put a power steering unit on an M last year that mounts like the one you describe. I used a large "C" clamp to press the pin out of the crank shaft. Spray the pin with penetrating oil and use a short piece of pipe over the pin on the opposite site of the crank shaft. The c-clamp should press on the pin on one side and press the pipe against the crank shaft on the other side. It was still a tight fit but worked. Does your pump have the oil resevoir attached to the top of the pump? If so you may have problems with clearance for fan between the radiator and the oil resevoir. I had to get a seperate resevoir that attached to a head bolt and had a short hose that attached to the top of the pump. This type of set up gives you more clearance between pump and radiator.

I forgot to mention that I also used some fine sandpaper to clean off all the piant and rust on the exposed portions of the pin before I pressed it out. Also if you grind one end of the pipe to match the radius of the crank shaft it helps to keep everything from tipping off center when you are turning hard on the c-clamp. I was able to get the remote resevoir from the fellow I bought the original setup from. I'm not sure where he got it from. You may be able to adapt the pump and resevoir that you have. The resevoir on the pump is (if I remember right) is attached to the pump by one or two bolts thru the bottom of the resevoir. The pump with remote resevoir unit that I got was identical to the combined unit except that there was a steel plate bolted to the top of the pump with a hose nipple welded or brazed to a hole in the center that aligned with the intake port on the pump. The resevoir had the same type of plate and nipple bolted to the bottom of it. Each plate seemed to be sealed to the respective pump and resevoir with gasket sealant. Then the two nipples were connected to each other with a short length of hose and hose clamps. The resevoir was fastened to the head bolt on the left front of the engine by means of an L shaped bracket out of 1/8" thick steel. This bracket was drilled to match the diameter of the head bolt and extended horizontally out from the engine only enough for clearance for the nut on the head bolt. Then it turned upward about 2" and contacted the flange on the top edge of the resevoir. The resevoir was clamped to this bracket by a large hose clamp that went around the body of the resevoir and the vertical portion of this bracket.

Jim, I have an M with the Charlyn-type power steering unit on it. Works wonderfully well. Steers much better than my H,which doesn't have power steering. I know a guy who seems to be able to find just about anything you might need for Farmalls. I have bought items from him and been pleased with the results. You might give him a try:

Good luck, Wayne

Mine has a new pulley to add on the front of the crank pully you have to pull the crank pin out add pulley and put in a new longer pin to hold on new pulley then pump runs off the new pulley at the front of engine you also have to add spacers to the fan to put it closer to radiator and then it will miss power steering pump Thanks Jim
